Single-Serve Capsule Coffee Machine
There’s no doubt that single-serve brewers can bring the wonderful gourmet coffee shop experience at a fraction of the price, and these savings can add up over a year. It is however not recommeded for high traffic or uses area.
Pros
Easy to use. Foolproof usability for a single cup of coffee
Fast. Quick brew time – 10-51secs
Lower capital cost – single serve capsule coffee maker can cost as low as RM300 to get depending on model or brand.
Cons
Expensive long term. Capsules can get expensive, High ongoing cost if high number of users due to the capsules cost per piece (usually RM3/capsule)
Waste. Most capsules are not recyclable
Quality. Coffee can taste less full
1 type of drink. Usually just long black/americano or espresso. While you can get different brand or tastes of coffee but you are not able to make cuppucino or latte, you will need to have a separate frother or tool.
Espresso Coffee Machine
Traditional espresso machines are reliable, have greater versatility and a longer lifespan. They also have built-in milk frothers so you can make the ultimate latte or cappuccino yourself. They also have a better extraction process, due to the traditional machine having group handles that have a greater surface area of contact during the infusion process. It is not recommeded to use this in the office as one needs to know how to prepare and use the machine.
Pros
Consistent. Produces a consistent cup of espresso
Espresso can be used as a base for other coffee drinks, like lattes and cappuccinos
Cons
Longer Time. Some must heat up before use
Expertise & practice. Can require a learning curve with pressure, tamping, and measurements
Espresso makers like these are most suited for cafe or specialty F&B outlet, most offices will prefer to get an automatic bean to cup coffee maker that is fast & does not need any coffee making knowledge
Automatic Bean to Cup Espresso Coffee Machine
Bean-to-cup coffee machines’ main advantage is that they produce beautiful, consistent cups of coffee without the need for staff training, and without wastage. They are fully automated, so anyone making a cup of coffee can get on with another task. In offices and other non-hospitality workplaces, a bean-to-cup coffee machine is ideal as they can make themselves and visiting clients a beautiful cup of coffee without having the skills of a trained barista.
Pros
Consistent quality. Produces a consistent cup of espresso. Provided the machine is well cared for, the quality of the coffee is always consistent.
Variety. Offer speciality drinks at the touch of a button and have a speedy drink delivery between 20 – 60 seconds
Easy to use. No staff training is required to make the coffee, which saves time and resources.
Self service. Customers and/or employees can make their own coffee.
No paper or aluminium waste. As everything occurs inside the made machine, there is no coffee wastage.
Save time. As it is automatic, you can make a coffee whilst get on with a different task.
Rich flavour quality. The bean-to-cup process is so quick that all the richness of flavour is preserved, giving you a beautiful cup of coffee.
Lower per cup cost. Cheaper per cup price compared to capsules or barista made coffee
Cons
Cleaning maintenance. The milk system in the machine needs to be cleaned every single day, as does part of the machine that grinds, tamps and filters the coffee. As there are many different parts, this can be a little fiddly and requires some training. However, most good coffee machine rental companies (like Pure water!) should provide you with training and even come and maintain your machine on a regular basis.
Medium usage rate. Bean-to-cup coffee machines have a limit to how many beverages they can make before you have to clean them, replace the milk, maintain the working parts, etc.
High capital cost – companies need to fork out a mininum of RM8000 (the good news is there are now available for low monthly rental so companies can enjoy the same quality coffee but at lower cost! – to know more –link here!)
Auto Drip
Originally from Germany in 1954, drip coffeemakers are by far the most common in the United States. The machine consists of a water well with an aluminum or copper rod that heats the water, which is then slowly filtered through coffee grounds. Taste is entirely dependent on ground quality, so recipes calling for specific qualities—like smooth textures—require excellent beans.
Pros
There’s no learning curve. You probably already know how to use this.
Clean up is simple. Throw the filter in the trash, refill the water tank and you’re ready for round two!
Cons
Limited ability to control quality. An aficionado’s greatest complaint is the inability to engage with the brewing process.
Most rods are aluminum. Copper rods heat the water more quickly and reliably, but copper is expensive. Nearly all major-market coffeemaker brands use aluminum, so many coffee makers fail to reach a temperature that activates all the coffee’s oils and brings forth the full force of the beans’ taste.
Automatic 1 Touch Instant Coffee Machine
This is very popular among the masses. Why – because the machine not only dispenses coffee but also other popular drinks like Hot cocoa or Milk tea. It dispenses the hot beverage within 10 seconds and as it is a pre-mix, there is no need to add sugar or milk. Most customer service centres with high traffic love putting this for their customers while they wait. Most suitable for workplace where there are more than 50 staff .
Pros
Fast . Very fast dispensing as these are premixes and does not need bean grinding
There’s no learning curve. Juts press & drink!
Filling & Clean up is simple. Open the catridge & refill the powdered drinks into the dispenser. A simple wipe down is all it needs. There are no coffee grounds to throw.
No cost to install . Should you meet their terms and conditions (ie you have the capacity to drink up to 600cups/month) , the machine will be installed without any cost. Call us to know more, we can link you up !
No equipment maintenance cost . Other than the usual simple cleaning that the users need to do, the rest of the maintenance or repair will be borned by the equipment provider.
Cons
Limited ability to customised taste. One will not be able to request for less sweet unless you choose the black offee / espresso option.
Need minimum usage. You are required to purchase a min value of RM500 per month worth of their beverages in order for continued usuage of the machine.
